Rev. Holly MillerShank, in both word and action, aligns herself with the identity of UCC.
UCC IDENTITY
Rev. Holly MillerShank served as the Minister and Team Leader of the Ministerial Excellence, Support and Authorization (MESA) Ministry Team in the national setting of the United Church of Christ from 2010-2019. In collaboration with partners across the denomination, MESA strives to support authorized ministers in the UCC throughout their arc of ministry including: Members in Discernment, Local Church Pastors, Ministers in Specialized Settings, Search and Call, and Committees on Ministry. As part of her position in the UCC National Setting, Holly recently published a first of its kind research report on the state of COMs in the denomination. She also oversaw the development of the UCC’s re-visioned Manual on Ministry the essential guide for ministerial authorization in the denomination.
In recent years Rev. MillerShank served as the Interim Associate Conference Minister for the Northeast and Boston Metro Associations of the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ. In this capacity Holly assisted local congregation in search, supported COMs across the region and worked with clergy as they navigated the COVID-19 pandemic.

Holly was baptized, confirmed, and later ordained at Myerstown United Church of Christ in Myerstown, Pennsylvania. She was introduced to the wider church through the Lebanon Association and Penn Central Conference. Holly has actively participated in many aspects of UCC ministry, including serving as Global Ministries volunteer in India and Korea, as well as serving on the Ministry Issues Implementation Committee and the Local Church Ministries Board of Directors. Holly's passion for the diversity and unity of the United Church of Christ is evident throughout her ministry.
